Oh governments jealous to make me your slave &SHY; to own me and push me from cradle to grave: If I run from your claws, you just cast me out from that portion of mankind you call your devout. Exalting your image, you say we are free if we choose not to have any idols but thee. You take our money and hang up your flags demanding we worship idolatrous rags. You say it´s an honor to die for your sake, but your claims are all false, and your honor is fake. For thousands of years you have led us astray proclaiming that you are the Light and the Way. You use all the best and likewise the worst to quench your insatiable powerthirst. You steal all the men and make them all yours, and their women you turn into comforting whores. Your wealth is not founded on free, honest trade. Your tool is extortion; that's how you get paid. And what you hand back is only what's due to make everybody dependent on you. From the Greeks and the Romans exploiting their times to America using her nickels and dimes - England and France and the U.S.S.R: You're all just the same, and I know what you are.
- Tarjei Straume, Los Angeles 1976
