-Albert Einstein, 1954

All of us who are concerned for peace and triumph of reason and justice must be keenly aware how small an influence reason and honest good will exert upon events in the political field.

I'll never forget reading his Ideas and Opinons as a sophmore in high school in 1956. Then -- fast forward -- in 1995 or so, reading the consensus of opinion of who? Science writers? - that Einstein was a brilliant physicist but a hopelessly naive person when it came to politics.

Now, as Pat Garrett said to the Texas Ranger in the movie Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid: "Times have CHANGED."
So times have changed so much that the will of the people prevented the illegal invasion and occupation of Iraq?

All Good Things, Love,
No, Alice. So much that people in America including many physicists and other scientists are realizing just how prescient a political thinker Albert Einstein was.

I intentionally quoted Pat Garrett out of context. And I know you love poetry, old girl. Have you read Michael Ondjadahees little book upon which the Chris, Rita, and Bob Dylan movie was reputedly based?
