As my friend Fred remarked after a stint at Johns Hopkins, it can be mathematically demonstrated with chalk on a blackboard (or nowadays dry-erase markers on a whiteboard) that the probability of Objective Reality works out to zero. And as Henry Fielding argues in the earliest English-language novel, TOM JONES, the Improbable is less credible than the Impossible.
