Love Always by PC Girl

Two paths cross in the sand, as if by fate, Full moon shines down, as their friendship begins. Next day in the water, on the balcony, on the pier, Their attraction for each other so easy and natural. That night, under the moon again, Wishing the moment would last forever. Not knowing if they'll ever meet again, In the morning they say good bye. Promises to write, to call, too soon forgotten, But the feeling he's still inside her heart remains. Eight months pass, he sends a letter, The "star of her dreasm" wants to visit. The plan is thwarted, how could this happen? Why can't they make their paths cross again? Two years pass since their first meeting, She sends a letter, a shot in the dark. A quick phone call comes in response, With a promise to call again later, unfulfilled. Months pass without another word, She decides to give up and try to forget. For fifteen years she locks the memories away, Moving on with a marriage and family. But then, the 17th anniversary of their meeting, Somehow loosens the lock on that memory closet. A few memories trickle out and thoughts of reconnecting, Married now, thoughts remain thoughts. The year passes by with only small glimpses, Escaping from the memory that she kept so tightly closed. Until one morning, quite by surprise, All of the memories come rushing over her. Concerned and a little cross at first, She wonders who let them out. Then, answering her diary's call to be opened, She enjoys reliving their love story, as she reads. The emotions she had pushed away for so long, Came out from hiding too. She wonders, after all this time, How the feeling he's still inside her heart could remain. The desire to find him is much stronger this time, And she begins her search. Harder than expected, he's not listed anywhere, But the will to find him keeps her going. The internet begins to give her clues to the Places where he's lived. She feels like Mary, "pondering these things in her heart", And recording them in her journal. One day she writes for, "a sneak peak inside his life," That's the day she gets her 'message in a bottle'. A court case for visitation of his daughter reveals many things, She's most impressed with her birthdate, their anniversary. After 24 days of research and difficult phone calls, it comes, "He's married with children in *****, here's his address." Two weeks later, with the help of luck, They are finally able to make their paths cross again. Such a sweet reunion for them both, Finding out how their lives have unfolded. Then she hears the words she came for, "If I could go back, I'd have come to see you." The visit is much too short, many things left unsaid, But "the ruler of her fantasy world" wants to keep in touch. After a friendly hug, she drives away, hopeful, As she reads the billboard "A Fresh Start".
