Edward Lorenz "the father of chaos theory" Dies
NPR - April 17, 2008 Edward Lorenz was the father of "chaos theory," also known as the "butterfly effect." He explained how something as small as the flutter of a butterfly's wings could lead to a big change elsewhere in the world, like a tornado. He died Wednesday at age 90. David Kestenbaum talks with Madeleine Brand about his life and achievements.
