Party for Socialism and Liberation presidential nominee and PFP presidential hopeful Gloria La Riva will be appearing in Fresno, California this Sunday to meet with and listen to locals concerning the rights of immigrants.
According to the event announcement, which is apparently only available in Spanish, La Riva has “participated for over 25 years in pro-immigrant struggles throughout California.” La Riva is herself the daughter of a Mexican-born immigrant, and as such “knows the struggles and everyday difficulties that the immigrant community faces, and the urgent need that the immigrant community be guaranteed equality.”
The event will be held at 453 N Fresno St (local office of Comité Pro Uno, an immigrant advocacy and support group) at 2 PM, and is sponsored by both the PSL and PFP.
